SALIVARY GLAND DISEASES

The main salivary glands in our body are located in front of both ears, under the chin and under the tongue. Apart from these, there are hundreds of small salivary glands widely located in the mucous membrane of the mouth. The salivary glands produce approximately 1-1.5 liters of saliva per day.

The most prominent diseases of the salivary glands are salivary gland inflammations, salivary gland stones and tumors.
