SLIGHTLY PINK BLOOD CAN BE SEEN IN THE SALIVA FOR 1-2 DAYS AFTER THE OPERATION. INFORM YOUR DOCTOR IF THE CHILD HAS FRESH RED BLOOD OR BLOODY VOMITING FROM THE CHILD'S MOUTH.

If a tube is inserted into the ears in the same surgery or if the eardrum is scratched, which we call paracentesis, there may be mild bloody ear discharge. Inform your doctor if there is a prolonged discharge or abundant yellow-green discharge.

There may be mild pain in the ear after the surgery. It usually responds to simple painkillers.

It is forbidden for the patient to eat or drink anything for 3-4 hours after the operation until the effect of the anesthesia wears off. Your nurse will let you know when you will have food.

On the first day, soft foods such as yoghurt, puree, pasta, pudding should be preferred. You can switch to a normal diet the next day.

There may be a change in the tone of voice after the adenoid is removed, it is a normal situation.

It is normal for the fever to increase by 0.5-1 degrees after the surgery. Higher and prolonged fever is usually caused by dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids.

There may be a bad odor in the breath after the surgery. This complaint is more common in people who take less fluid and are malnourished.
