POST-SURGERY SUGGESTIONS...
Very slightly pink blood mixed with saliva can be seen for a day or two after the surgery. In case of fresh red blood or bloody vomiting, you should inform your doctor and act in accordance with his recommendations.
Pain that increases with swallowing and hits the ear can be seen for 1-2 weeks after the surgery. In this case, simple painkillers prescribed by your doctor are usually sufficient, but in some patients, especially in adult patients, stronger painkillers may be required.
For the first 3-4 hours after the operation, the patient is prohibited from eating and drinking until the effect of the anesthesia is completely gone. Your nurse will let you know when to take food by mouth.
In general, plenty of warm water should be drunk, soft, warm and non-irritating foods should be taken.
On the day of surgery and the next day, small amounts of water, milk, fruit juices, compote, sherbet, ice cream, grain-free soup, iced tea, ayran can be taken at frequent intervals.
2-3 days after surgery. In addition to these, you can give soft foods such as yoghurt, puree, pasta, pudding on these days.
After the 4th day, you can start a normal diet that does not irritate and is not too hot. For two weeks, irritating hard and sharp foods such as bread edge, crackers, potato chips should be avoided.
There may be a change in tone of voice after surgery, which may last up to 4 weeks.
--Avoid acidic products such as cola, orange juice, lemon juice.
--Do not use a straw

--Do not consume red and brown-colored foods and drinks, as they can be confused with bleeding.
--Avoid bitter and spicy foods
It is normal for the fever to increase by 0.5-1 degrees after the surgery. Prolonged fever is usually due to fluid loss. You should drink plenty of fluids.
Halitosis can be seen for about two weeks after the surgery, which is more evident in patients who consume less liquid.
Children should rest at home for 2-3 days after the surgery, and stay away from sports for two weeks.
